Did you miss the whole republicans rigging elections bit, or the whole oligarchy seizing control of the democratic party and running it as a controlled opposition constitutionally weak and unwilling to challenge the degeneration into fascism?

It’s not different, not anymore. Because enough people trusted the democrats, and still do, to run opposition, we are on the cusp of losing what is still honest in our elections. ie, I wouldn’t assume the president outperforming poll numbers is all the fault of the pollsters, given the party’s open fixing of elections.
