Maybe losing in the short time, but getting rid of fossil dependency is in my opinion a good thing. And most of the other things have (maybe suboptimal) alternatives.

Also, now Trump has no leverage against Spain, so that’s another good thing? And its time to increase trade with China, India, etc. 😸

Yeah! less fossil fuel dependency is great! But losing out on ~$10B worth of energy fuel is insane. Spain will need to make it up somewhere else, for probably more money. It will put a small strain on the fossil dependent sector of Spain, which is are usually near urban centers, if I’m not mistaken.

Also, there’s still the other 60%, over half of that industrial equipment. All I’m saying is, these things put strains on everyone, and it’s almost always gonna be poor people who take the worse hit and I just detest that. American laborers, who are in the manufacturing of these exports, many of whom did not vote for this. Spanish citizens who have a pretty good shot of seeing some small increases in prices. It’s just all so asanine.

edit: fucking forgot cause I’m a big dummy. petrol is mostly used for tankers in exporting, so petroleum shortages will lead to more decreases in a country’s gdp
