France, Germany, and the United Kingdom say they’re ready to defend their interests and those of allies in the Gulf if necessary by taking “defensive action” against Iran.

“We will take steps to defend our interests and those of our allies in the region, potentially through enabling necessary and proportionate defensive action to destroy Iran’s capability to fire missiles and drones at their source,” it added.

So they attack a sovereign country unprovoked and in middle of negotiations, the country retaliates, and now they strike back claiming self defence? Great rule based order we have here. Fuck these murderous countries daring to call everyone else terrorists.

Israel and the US attacked Iran. Iran then attacked Israel, UAE, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Qatar, and Iraq right afterword.

If Iran didn’t want to be accused of attacking other countries, they shouldn’t be attacking other countries.

they did not attack other countries they attacked US bases in those countries.

the US should be out of those countries.

Countries that are explicitly allies to the nation that attacked you and that host bases of the country attacking you.

        Sounds reasonable to me

Iran has attacked civilian stuff in those other countries in the last day as well. It isn’t just US military bases.

It is perfectly reasonable to be unhappy about the US and Israel attacking Iran AND be unhappy about Iran striking civilian targets in surrounding Gulf countries.

            Care to be more specific?

I know they launched unguided missiles that did ultimately strike civilians. We would need to know the initial targets. It’s considered “normal” in a war to send large barrages towards legitimate targets and hope they hit. An airport or factory would be a legitimate target, but a school or hospital would not be.

Now of course Israel and the US have hit both schools and hospitals using guided missiles. Those were deliberately chosen targets.

I won’t condemn an invaded nation for defending itself.

Iran is controlled by an oppressive regime. That doesn’t give the US or Israel the right to invade nor does it forfeit the nations right to defend itself from invasion

Iran’s government has more than earned its pariah status. These keyboard warriors are as bad as conservatives in finding the nuance. US and Israel should not have attacked AND Iran is a brutal, oppressive regime.

You are absolutely correct, but that’s also irrelevant to the other posters point. The other nations they’ve bombed are allied with the US and host US military bases.

It makes complete sense to target infrastructure and military bases in those countries.
