Well, good thing Reddit permabanned me in the post-Inauguration bloodbath, before ICE got rolling. I would have had plenty to say.
Oh, well, they’ve got 12 years of my posts, with nearly a million Karma, all actively hostile toward Democrats, Republicans, MAGA, and especially Trump. I figure my name will make it to the top of the list at some point.
Hope you edited and put gibberish in all your old comments because they keep that shit forever. There’s a useful script on GitHub I used back around the time of reddits bs api changes. Now there’s only latin on my old comments.
I did on a banned account. They reverted all of it to the original comments. I know because I started getting replies to very old messages that had evergreen content
How many violations did you have when they permabanned you? I always dropped the accounts after a 2nd violation that came with a 3 day ban, always challenged that violation, then never came back to check if they overruled their violation or not, presuming they didn’t.
Because it’s not in good faith, half of them are violations for things that aren’t against the rules because the real reason you are getting violated they don’t want to cite. Like arguing with Israel enthusiasts that are connected to the US Influence Agencies running contracts for the government.
Some violations are just misunderstandings though, or even truthful things that a sensitive group apparently mass flags. But the majority are bad faith violations. Anyway I cycled through I don’t remember, over 6 accounts in 5 years, but my first I had over a year, then I quit for over a year incensed at the bad faith enforcement. I got a new one this spring, then a new one in summer, then a new one in fall, now have none. They don’t last long now.
But if you make a new account you don’t get the same scrutiny, the account gets hot and after the first violation the second will come soon no matter how much you follow the rules. It is a rigged game.
I have no idea, at the end they were banning me for all kinds of shit. I got banned from a bunch of subs because a mod who handles all of them read a comment that offended her in a forum she didn’t even mod, and banned me in all of HER subs for that.
Forget appeals, they weren’t listening to us they were only listening to DOGEboy. I tried getting around the permaban with an alias and a new Gmail account, but they caught me after a few months, and banned me again. After that, they banned each subsequent fraudulent account faster and faster. At the end, they would ban me before I made my first comment. I’d go to post it, and get the ban message. Now I got a bunch of throwaway Gmail addresses. I use them to sign up for discounts, and send all my spam to a dead email.
So I came to Lemmy. Not much in the way of my favorite guitar or cat subs, but we’ll get there. At least I can give full throat to my hate for MAGA.

Nah, I said stuff they wouldn’t like, but it’s not illegal. Let them try to come after me. I’m ready.
