All three streamers were then held in January last year but released after they insisted the on-screen violence was all part of “an act aimed at creating buzz so as to earn money”.

Act or not, I cannot quantify the utter disdain I have for anyone who wants to watch garbage like that. Absolutely shitty human trash, every damn one of them.

Edit: And just to be abundantly clear, I’m not talking about the two pieces of garbage that just got taken into custody. I’m taking about the thousands of pieces of human feces that were getting their jollies watching another person get abused.

It depends on how it’s executed.

If it’s sold as true satire or fiction, I’m in. WWE, John Wick, Rocky III.

If it’s sold as reality, yeah, it’s garbage.

Edit: though I just read the fucking article and what these fuckers did is inexcusable. And those who watch this, yup, you’re right. Garbage.

Yeah, if the police have to take them all into custody to investigate if it was real or not… It wasn’t being sold as clearly fiction.

Thank christ, I was shocked when I saw them walk only days after the guy died. They clearly are reaponsible for the horrible state this guy was in, which lead to his death. They prevented him from sleeping for over a week, no wonder his system broke down.

To me, murder charges should still be on the table.

Graven – known online as Jean Pormanove, or JP – had built a following on the platform by participating in live “trash streaming”, in which he was physically assaulted or humiliated as viewers watched live and sometimes donated money.

This was basically Le Jackass. Graven knew what he was gettting into and had done it before.

Seems like a slam dunk case of involuntary manslaughter, if it had been in the US. No idea how French law works.

No idea how French law works.

You have to prove your innocence, the state does not have to prove you guilty. If the state puts you under invesigation, you are 90% fucked.
