I think that is a big stretch to interpret that as stalking. Now I dislike Facebook and I don’t use it, but reconnecting with friends and family is kinda their whole business model. Well, originally it was, now it’s keep feeding people a constant stream of crap so they never close the app. Just like everything else.
It could also be something that never was. I have definitely heard it used just as much for someone that things just didn’t materialize into a relationship. Regardless, “reconnect” is not the same as stalk. It’s reaching.
