minus-squareUndergroundGoblin@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up56arrow-down2·10 hours ago yes, but i think it’s total bullshit aksing Proton user to buy the game and then $15 worth of DLC. I’d be pissed if I were forced to do that. So, your solution is to completely deny access to the game for all Linux users, even those who’ve already purchased it? Total bullshit.
minus-squareLiveLM@lemmy.ziplinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4·4 hours agoI feel like the majority of the Linux Rust players would happily pay $15 to stop dual-booting lol

minus-squareVikthor@piefed.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up18·9 hours agoTechnically they don’t deny access to the game. The game runs with Proton, but you can’t connect to the EAC secured servers.
minus-squareDreamButt@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up7·8 hours agoI don’t play rust does it support private servers out of box?
minus-squareturdas@suppo.filinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up20·8 hours agoYes it does, and there are at least some non-EAC servers with a whitelist system that Linux users can play on.

minus-squareBjörn@swg-empire.delinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up5·7 hours agoThis should be the top comment. I don’t play the game but I think that’s an acceptable compromise.
