    Gamers Nexus did a whole thing on this a while ago. It was quite illuminating.

    What it mainly illuminated to me is that I will never buy a prebuilt gaming PC from anyone, let alone lease one. If it’s not my own grubby fingers touching every component I don’t trust it.

      Even if you don’t want to build one yourself, you can probably find someone (family, friends, friend of friends) who build for some beer.

      Leasing PC sounds like a scam by definition. Even in developing countries, people are able to scrape $700-$900 for a modest build.

      If you can’t save up this sort of cash living in the US (cost of living is higher, but components are cheaper), leasing is not a good idea.
