The Canadian government blocked Marineland's attempt to export the animals to a park in China.

A Canadian amusement park is threatening to euthanise 30 beluga whales after the government blocked its request to send them to China.

The park is said to have told ministers that it was in a “critical financial state” and unable to provide adequate care for the whales

    Euthanize means lethal injection. It’s a common way to kill animals for various reasons (too sick, too violent…), obviously it’s never voluntary on the part of the animal.

      Didn’t know the injection part. It’s the same for humans then? So basically death by drugs. That makes sense.
