News stories like this arent helping US tourism, but this lady isn’t a tourist. She lives and works in the US, has a US work visa, and an “I-360” visa. Her work visa was renewed but her other visa was still on hold for some reason. She left the US to visit Canada and was stopped on the way back into the US because her I-360 visa wasn’t valid. Ironically, she works at a maximum security prison.

She basically has 2 visas, with one being valid and one in the “processing” phases of renewal, and they still arrested her and her 6 year old son, who had a valid visa, and held them for nearly a month until it hit international news.

They threw her and her child into a Texas prison, yes prison, over a minor issue with paperwork on a secondary visa while coming home to Washington from Canada. That is not justifiable.

Big Polizei: Tourism? But you said… Oh, fuck: you were saying terrorism, not tourism! Sorry. Of course, we will release all those tourists right away!
