Yes, they’re not occupied or genocided, but they lost their identity and values by becoming capitalist as a result of the war. Because it was that or famine under trade chokehold. Capitalism has brought more people out of poverty than any other system ever. It definitely has its issues and can be done better, but as someone who has a large part of my family from exsoviet countries…not a fuckin chance I want that shit anywhere near me.
