I can’t see any differences due to lemmy version either (most instances are 19.11, where the edit is visible, but midwest.social is also on .11 and it’s not visible-- whereas lemmy.nz is on .10 and it’s also not there). Maybe I’ll shoot a message over to admin like you suggested.
