I just don’t get the appeal.
I just don’t get the appeal.
Years ago, I was ripped to shreds for saying AI would be a disaster.
It is not now, nor ever will be anything like the way it’s depicted in sci-fi fantasy. We are never going to achieve anything close to a Star Trek-level of symbiosis with tech. Everything we ever do will be weaponized, and what can’t be turned on our adversaries and ultimately ourselves, will be used to make the less intelligent even more-so.
It’s going to drain our last vestige of creativity as it runs headlong through our every culture, and in its wake will be the unmotivated remains of what passion for the arts we once had, until one day- we will be nothing more than animals walking in and out of rooms.
Trust that nothing good lies that way.
You absolutely can ban a user from an lemmy instance.
How is this still up for debate?
You all remember the Cabal from The Blacklist. I guarantee you this shit is not made up. He called him a Russian asset not because it is how it appears, he called him that because it’s a fact. And all the world leaders know it.
That shit still terrifies me.
Why do we care how Trump feels about a conflict he has nothing to do with, or have any say in how it’s handled?
I don’t get why we keep allowing this fart-colored cringe-tinged shaved ape to pretend he is relevant to any part of most everything that happens?
Imagine all that propaganda that never reached its victims. So sad!
It’s not. I don’t understand what makes his art so popular. To me it’s irony telling on itself. Like, as I understand, most of his stuff is suspend to be a giant middle-finger to all things trendy, but it’s nothing but. The minute that guy farts in a jar, the world will turn into one giant olfactory nerve.
It’s popular because it’s rare? Is it popular because he personifies low hanging fruit? I mean… hitting someone with a gavel? What a surprisingly fresh take that is…
I honestly don’t get it and I’m not trying to agitate. I’m dead serious.
